Stability and continuity in relations

The company Mac Port Balkan is part of the Mac Port group, founded in Ravenna, Italy in 1987.
For more than a decade, Mac Port has been one of LIEBHERR’s most successful partners, as well as a leader in sales of port machinery and equipment with representative subsidiaries in Austria, Bulgaria and Albania. The company has been operating on the Bulgarian market since 2017. Its initial name has been BSM Balkan Service Management. The current General Manager and sole owner of the company is Mr. Matteo Bilotti.
The administrative address of the company is in Sofia, but, since its establishment, the operational headquarters is in Burgas.

In 2018 and 2019 the company successfully cooperated for the realisation of the project Turkish Stream concerning the Oil and Gas segment, located at the Port Terminal Burgas West. As a subcontractor, the company performed maintenance, service, diagnostics and repair of the mobile port cranes LIEBHERR, used for loading and unloading activities. As a result of this successful partnership, and together with the intention to increase and strengthen its presence and recognition on the Bulgarian market, the company has built its own administrative and service base in 2020, located in the area of Industrial and Logistics Park-Burgas, on a 5862 m2 plot of land.

Presently, the base is fully operative, and its design and infrastructure comply with all requirements and meet all the established standards of the manufacturer Liebherr. The administrative office is situated on 3 floors, with a glass facade and a picturesque view of Vaya lake. The workshop area has a 10-ton single girder overhead crane, a freight elevator, a mobile aspiration system for welding activities, as well as a special storage zone for spare parts and consumables for port equipment. It is designed so that even the largest components of mobile cranes can be repaired inside.
Expectedly, the company name has changed, along with the opening of the new administrative building. With the new name, Mac Port Balkan, the company aims to emphasize on its relation to Mac Port Group, particularly correlate with the expansion of Mac Port’s activities to the Eastern European markets.
The main activity of the company includes maintenance, repair, sale of spare parts and machines, as well as any kind of technical assistance related to the usage of Maritime division port equipment. As a result of the extended professional solutions and specialized services, the company has proven to be a reliable partner for the companies in the segment.

The company has already developed continuous and stable business relations with the biggest Bulgarian Black Sea ports. A primary corporate goal is to establish a partnership with the Danube ports, given the growing volume of commerce there, whose needs Liebherr can offer excellent solutions for.
Our main priority is to contribute to modernization and renewal of the material and technical base of the Bulgarian ports, making them much more competitive and more successful.
